Welcome to AS Contra.
The terms "we", "us" and "our" refer to AS Contra. AS Contra operates this store and website, including the related information, content, features, products and services available through ascontra.com (the "Services").
Our online store is powered by Shopify, which enables us to provide the Services.
These Terms of Service ("Terms"), together with the policies referred to in them, describe the terms that apply when you access or use the Services or purchase from AS Contra.
Please read these Terms carefully. Nothing in these Terms excludes or restricts mandatory consumer rights that apply to you under applicable law.
By accessing or using the Services, you agree to these Terms and acknowledge our Privacy Policy. If you do not agree, you should not use the Services.
1. Access and Customer Accounts
You may browse and purchase from AS Contra without creating a customer account where guest checkout is available.
If you choose to create or use an account, you are responsible for keeping your account credentials secure and for activity carried out through your account.
When using the Services or placing an order, you agree to provide information that is accurate, current and complete and that you have the right to provide.
You may not use another person's identity or payment information without authorisation or use the Services for unlawful or fraudulent purposes.
2. Our Products
AS Contra specialises in vintage and collectible football shirts. Many of our products are pre-owned, individual pieces and are available in a quantity of one.
We make every reasonable effort to represent each product accurately. Unless clearly stated otherwise, product photographs show the actual individual shirt offered for sale.
Relevant information about condition, visible imperfections, sizing and measurements is provided on or through the product listing. Vintage garments may naturally show signs of age, previous wear and period-specific manufacturing characteristics.
Colours and appearance may vary slightly depending on your screen, device, display settings and lighting conditions.
Measurements are taken manually and may vary by approximately 1 cm.
Each shirt is assigned a condition grade according to the AS Contra condition system. Relevant imperfections that materially affect the condition of an item are shown and/or described where reasonably identifiable. Normal microscopic characteristics associated with the age of a vintage garment may not be individually documented.
Where relevant, AS Contra may provide information regarding authenticity, namesets, patches, player specifications or provenance. We aim to distinguish clearly between original and reproduction elements and between descriptions such as Player Issue/Specification, Match Issued and Match Worn.
Nothing in this section limits your statutory rights if a product does not conform to what was agreed.
3. Authenticity
AS Contra assesses the authenticity of every shirt before offering it for sale and aims to clearly disclose relevant reproduction elements, modifications and provenance information.
Further information about authenticity concerns and product claims is provided in our Return & Refund Policy. Nothing in these Terms limits your statutory rights regarding product conformity.
4. Orders
When you submit an order, you are making an offer to purchase the selected product or products.
An order is normally accepted once payment has been successfully processed and AS Contra has confirmed the order.
Because most AS Contra products are unique pieces, stock conflicts are uncommon but may exceptionally occur. We may also need to cancel an order in circumstances including suspected fraud or unauthorised payment, an obvious pricing or listing error, or where a unique item is unexpectedly found to be materially damaged or otherwise unsuitable for sale before dispatch.
If we cancel an order in such circumstances, amounts paid for the affected item or order will be refunded.
You may request cancellation before an order has been fulfilled. Where cancellation is still operationally possible, a complete cancellation will be refunded, including the applicable shipping charges paid.
For multi-item orders, cancellation of an individual item before fulfilment may be possible.
We do not swap products within an already paid order. If you wish to purchase a different product, the original item should be cancelled where possible and the other item ordered separately.
Separate orders are not automatically combined.
Once an order has been fulfilled or dispatched, it can no longer be handled as a pre-dispatch cancellation. Any applicable withdrawal and return rights remain unaffected.
5. Prices and Payment
Prices are shown in euros unless otherwise stated.
The price charged for a product is the price shown when the order is placed, subject to the correction of obvious and unmistakable errors.
If we discover an obvious pricing or listing error, we may contact you before fulfilment to correct the issue or cancel and refund the affected order where appropriate.
AS Contra generally honours the published price where an error is not obvious or unmistakable.
Available payment methods are shown at checkout. Payment is required directly through the available checkout methods. AS Contra does not offer instalment plans or reservation payments unless expressly stated otherwise.
Any applicable shipping costs are displayed before you complete your purchase.
For deliveries outside the applicable customs territory, additional import VAT, customs duties, clearance charges or other local charges may apply. Further information is available in our Shipping Policy.
6. Shipping and Delivery
All AS Contra orders are shipped tracked and insured. Applicable shipping costs and available delivery options are shown at checkout.
Delivery times are estimates unless expressly agreed otherwise. Where AS Contra arranges the carrier, the risk of loss or damage remains with AS Contra until delivery in accordance with applicable law.
Processing times, international delivery, customs, lost or damaged shipments and other delivery conditions are described in our Shipping Policy, which forms part of these Terms.
7. International Orders
International orders may be subject to import VAT, customs duties, clearance charges or other local charges.
Unless expressly stated otherwise, applicable international shipments are made on a Delivered At Place (DAP) basis.

8. Returns, Withdrawal and Refunds
Returns, statutory withdrawal, cancellations and refunds are governed by our Return & Refund Policy, which forms part of these Terms.
Consumers who have a statutory right of withdrawal retain that right in accordance with applicable law.
AS Contra does not offer direct product exchanges. If you want another item, you may return the original item in accordance with our Return & Refund Policy and place a separate order for the other item.
Nothing in these Terms limits statutory rights relating to defective, incorrect or non-conforming products.
9. Product Care and Customer Handling
Vintage football shirts may contain ageing fabrics, prints, flock, namesets, patches or other materials that require careful handling.
Care information provided by AS Contra is intended to help preserve the item but does not constitute a guarantee against future natural ageing.
Damage caused after delivery through inappropriate washing, drying, ironing, heat treatment, alteration, repair, storage or other customer treatment is not the responsibility of AS Contra.
This does not affect a valid claim concerning a defect or non-conformity that existed when the product was delivered.
10. Relationship with Shopify
AS Contra is powered by Shopify, which enables us to provide the Services.
However, purchases made through our store are made directly between you and AS Contra. Shopify is not the seller of AS Contra products.
Shopify provides the ecommerce infrastructure and related services used to operate our store. To the extent permitted by applicable law, Shopify is not responsible for AS Contra's performance of the sales contract between you and AS Contra.
11. Privacy
Personal information processed through the Services is handled in accordance with our Privacy Policy.
Because our store is powered by Shopify, Shopify also processes certain personal information in connection with your access to and use of the Services.

12. Reviews, Feedback and Customer Content
You may choose to provide AS Contra with reviews, suggestions, feedback, photographs or other content.
You are responsible for ensuring that content you provide does not infringe the intellectual-property, privacy or other rights of another person and is not unlawful, misleading, abusive or otherwise prohibited.
Providing feedback or customer content does not automatically give AS Contra unrestricted permission to use your photographs or other personal content for separate advertising, social-media campaigns or other commercial brand content.
Where additional permission is appropriate for such use, we will request it.
We may use ordinary feedback internally to operate, evaluate and improve our Services.
We may remove customer-submitted content from Services we control where it is unlawful, fraudulent, infringes another person's rights or otherwise violates these Terms.
13. Intellectual Property
Unless otherwise stated, original AS Contra website content, branding, layouts, copy, photography, graphics, video and other original materials created for the Services are owned by or licensed to AS Contra and are protected by applicable intellectual-property laws.
You may access the Services for personal, non-commercial use.
You may not reproduce, republish, commercially exploit, distribute or materially modify AS Contra's original content without permission, except where permitted by applicable law.
Third-party names, club crests, manufacturer marks, competition marks and other intellectual property displayed in connection with vintage products remain the property of their respective rights holders.
The sale of an authentic vintage product does not imply sponsorship, endorsement or affiliation between AS Contra and the relevant club, manufacturer, player, competition or other rights holder unless expressly stated.
14. Third-Party Services and Links
The Services may contain functionality, tools or links provided by third parties.
Third-party services may be subject to their own terms and privacy policies. AS Contra is not responsible for the independent content, security or practices of third-party websites or services.
Nothing in this section excludes responsibility that cannot lawfully be excluded.
15. Errors, Inaccuracies and Availability
We make reasonable efforts to keep information on our Services accurate.
Occasionally, information may contain typographical errors, inaccuracies or omissions relating to matters such as product descriptions, measurements, pricing, availability, shipping charges or delivery estimates.
We may correct errors and update information where appropriate.
A minor typographical or administrative error does not automatically invalidate an otherwise valid purchase.
Where an obvious and material error affects an order, we will handle the situation reasonably and in accordance with applicable consumer law.
16. Prohibited Uses
You may use the Services only for lawful purposes.
You must not use the Services to commit or facilitate fraud or other unlawful activity; infringe AS Contra's or another person's intellectual-property or other rights; impersonate another person or provide deliberately misleading information; introduce viruses, malware or other harmful code; interfere with the security or proper operation of the Services; collect personal information about others unlawfully; send spam or other unauthorised communications through the Services; or attempt to gain unauthorised access to accounts, systems or data.
We may investigate suspected fraud, abuse or misuse and may restrict or terminate access or cancel affected orders where reasonably justified.
17. Availability of the Services
We aim to keep the Services available and accurate but cannot guarantee uninterrupted or error-free access at all times.
The website may occasionally be unavailable because of maintenance, technical problems, third-party services or circumstances outside our reasonable control.
We may modify, suspend or discontinue parts of the Services where reasonably necessary.
18. Liability
Nothing in these Terms excludes or limits liability or consumer rights that cannot legally be excluded or limited.
To the extent permitted by applicable law, AS Contra is not responsible for losses that were not reasonably foreseeable when the contract was entered into, or for losses resulting from circumstances outside our reasonable control.
Where you purchase as a consumer, nothing in these Terms excludes or restricts AS Contra's obligations concerning delivery, conformity, statutory guarantees, withdrawal rights or other mandatory consumer protections.
AS Contra is not liable for purely commercial losses arising from a consumer purchase, such as lost profits or business opportunities, where such liability may lawfully be excluded.
19. Force Majeure
AS Contra is not responsible for delay or failure to perform an obligation where this results from circumstances outside our reasonable control, such as serious transport disruption, natural disasters, governmental measures, war, civil disturbance, major technical outages or similar events.
Where such circumstances affect an order, we will take reasonable steps to minimise the impact and communicate with you where appropriate.
This section does not remove any mandatory right you may have to terminate an agreement or receive a refund.
20. Termination and Suspension
We may restrict or terminate access to the Services where reasonably necessary, including in cases of fraud, unlawful activity, security threats or serious violations of these Terms.
Termination of access to the website does not remove payment obligations or consumer rights arising from an order already concluded.
Provisions that by their nature should continue after termination remain applicable.
21. Severability
If any provision of these Terms is found to be unlawful, invalid or unenforceable, that provision will apply to the maximum extent permitted by law or, where necessary, be treated as severed.
The remaining provisions will continue to apply.
22. Waiver and Entire Agreement
If AS Contra does not immediately enforce a provision of these Terms, this does not mean that we waive the right to enforce it later.
These Terms and the policies expressly incorporated into them form the agreement governing use of the Services and purchases from AS Contra, subject always to applicable mandatory law.
23. Governing Law
These Terms and agreements between you and AS Contra are governed by Dutch law.
If you are a consumer residing outside the Netherlands, this choice of law does not deprive you of mandatory consumer protections that apply to you under the law of your country of residence where such protections cannot lawfully be excluded.
Nothing in these Terms requires a consumer to bring a dispute exclusively before a Dutch court where applicable law gives that consumer the right to bring proceedings elsewhere.
24. Changes to These Terms
We may update these Terms to reflect changes to our Services, business practices or legal requirements.
The current version will be published on our website with an updated revision date.
Changes apply prospectively and do not retrospectively alter the terms governing an order already concluded, unless required by law or expressly agreed with you.
